The U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. FEC decision of January 21, 2010 allows corporations to spend unlimited money to support or oppose candidates for political office, overturning campaign finance laws in place for decades.
This campaign is an initiative of companies and business leaders who believe this ruling is in direct conflict with American democratic principles and a serious threat to good government. We stand with the four members of the Supreme Court and the 80 percent of Americans who disagree with the decision.

As we approach the second anniversary of the Citizens United decision, the Texas Green Chamber is inviting all business leaders who share our concern about the Citizens United decision—from Mom and Pop stores to the largest multi-nationals—to join the American Sustainable Business Council’s Business for Democracy Campaign and leaders such as Ben Cohen, Jerry Greenfield, Jeffrey Hollender, Yvon Chouinard Nell Newman Amy Domini, Seth Goldman, Wayne Silby, and the 1,000 others to support our campaign to overturn the Citizens United decision.
