The Texas Green Chamber of Commerce (TGC) seeks to influence the public policy process at the federal and state level. We are tapping the collective strength of our partners to introduce new ideas into the policy arena as well as lobby for existing proposals.
The Texas Green Chamber works closely with such organizations as professional and trade associations, the American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC), and B Lab to provide a voice for businesses in Texas on issues of national and state concern. Currently, the Texas Green Chamber is collaborating with the ASBC on the following campaigns/issues: Benefit Corporation Legislation, Business for Democracy, and Reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act.
Through a series of business surveys, membership meetings across the state, meetings with state elected officials, and collaboration with other leading sustainability organizations in Texas, the TGC will develop a set of “Legislative Priorities” for the 2013 Texas Legislature.
